The strange saga involving the unabashedly anti-gay, former Assistant Attorney General of Michigan Andrew Shirvell continues, as I noted in a News Roundup the other day. He’s being sued for, among other things, allegedly stalking and defaming a gay college student. Apparently, the plaintiff, Chris Armstrong, would drop the suit if Shirvell apologized for his behavior. For those who don’t know or don’t remember what gave rise to all of this, check out this video of Shirvell on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart from back in 2010. I have no idea why he agreed to appear on the show. I also have no idea how this man became an Assistant Attorney General. (Video is best for mature audiences only. Requires flash player.)
